Back pack it all in!

THE backpacker market is lucrative business in Australia, writes Milton Westcarr.

According to a recent report, (inThe Adelaide Advertiser) more than 105,000 international backpackers visited SA last year and poured $90-million into the state's economy.

Adelaide is said to be the main gateway to many destinations, due to its central location.

The tour we went on is known as the 'The Desert Patrol', consisting of a seven-day trip deep into the outback to Alice Springs, followed by an optional two-day return journey called 'The Boomerang.'

The tour cost us around $700 each, which is real value for money!

Steve our tour guide and driver always made sure everyone was entertained and gave us heaps of relevant information, about the destinations and cultures along the way. We all bonded well together.

The whole trip was captured on my mate Asher's camcorder, which certainly makes compulsive viewing!
