DJ Jah Trinity performed at Allure Club in Hindley St West, Adelaide in May 2003.It was the last of the ‘Babylon Taxi’ Reggae nights that were held every Thursday night @ Allure by DJ/ Promoter Rory and Wendy. A variety of DJs would play for 1hr through the night. (Rory and Wendy now have their own club called Zhivago on 155 Waymouth St, Adelaide. A Reggae night called ‘Jamdown,’ happens every Thursday now and many DJs and selectors play a variety of world music, every week on different days).
The venues are painstakingly decorated using tropical plants, palm trees, bamboo cane and camoflague parachutes for the ceiling, to give a jungle atmosphere. Seductive background, lighting added to the ambience of the night.
Can you spot the ‘regular faces’ that appear at most of the Reggae shows in Adelaide? Without them there would be no dance because they make the positive vibes flow. Maximum respect to the crowd and all those people who work behind the scenes to make Reggae Music play.
Australia is very multicultural and Reggae music appeals to many.
