DJ Jah Trinity regularly played Roots Reggae Music, at the Swing Cat Club every Thursday night for 1 year. The night was called, “Babylon Taxi”. (Taking the taxi out of Babylon) A variety of DJs also took turns to play their individual selections, ranging from Dancehall, Ragga to Funk from the 70’s. DJ Rory was the promoter and he now runs his own nightclub called Zhivago at 155 Waymouth St. in Adelaide.
DJs from other parts of Australia and the world have played at “Babylon Taxi” and I must say maximum respect to Rory and all the crew including management DJs and bar staff who helped to make it the highlight of every week! Crowd of people we love you every time to de maximum Jah Know!
Below are photos taken back in 2001 of a typical night, “Babylon Taxi” at The Swing Cat Club, Hindley St.West, Adelaide.
